Dear Vitro Certified® Network Member,
Welcome to Q3. We’ve made tremendous progress thus far in 2024. As you know, we unveiled several new products, including Sungate ThermL™ glass, a fourth-surface, low-e coating, and we launched the VitroVerse™ Glass Tools Mobile Hub, consolidating all Vitro digital tools for the first time into one easily accessible mobile site. Watch a short video to learn more. To add the VitroVerse™ Glass Tools Mobile Hub to your mobile device, follow the step-by-step instructions on VitroGlazings.com.
We’ve also been working hard to extend partnerships and form new collaborations with organizations with the same goals and vision to be the best in our respective fields. Earlier this year, we entered a strategic partnership with the Pittsburgh Steelers, becoming the Steelers' first partner in Mexico as part of the NFL Global Markets Program. We share many characteristics with the Steelers in origin and culture, such as dedication, teamwork and innovation. As you know, Vitro’s roots run deep in Western Pennsylvania. PPG Glass was founded in Pittsburgh in 1883, and our world-renowned research and development center is headquartered just north of the city.
We also extended our partnership with the National Aviary in Pittsburgh. Through this ongoing collaboration, we’ll continue to sponsor and support several Aviary initiatives and endeavors. Additionally, we are pleased to announce that another Pittsburgh-based partner, the Pittsburgh Glass Center, has completed its historic renovation project. We championed this landmark expansion, donating the glass for their upgrades. Portions of the glass donation included VacuMax™ Vacuum Insulating Glass (VIG), one of our highest-performing products recently refined to deliver even better thermal performance.
Speaking of high performance, Emily Losego was recently named one of the industry’s most influential leaders by USGlass Magazine. As Director of Commercial Innovation Segment, Emily leads one of the most critical teams at Vitro, identifying and developing new products to change and advance the potential of glass. Her team’s efforts are instrumental in why we continue to set the industry standard for sustainability, and their work will be on full display at GlassBuild America 2024.
We’re very excited to head to Dallas, Texas, for GlassBuild 2024 where we’ll showcase several latest advancements, including Sungate ThermL™ glass, VacuMax™ VIG, and our new solar-control, low-e option, Solarban® 65 glass. Additionally, we’re pleased to announce we’ll be unveiling a new spandrel glass solution and several bird-friendly glass options, which offer an ideal balance between functional performance and pleasing aesthetics.
In this Q3 edition, we’ve also included a Technical Forum about how fourth-surface, low-e coatings, and vacuum insulating technologies can boost thermal performance. The project spotlight, RIDC Mill 19, features a former Pittsburgh steel mill turned into an advanced manufacturing hub, and a get-to-know feature showcasing long-time Vitro technical team employee Larry Withrow.
Sincerely,
