Solarban Acuity

Solarban® Acuity™ glass is optimized for facades and vision glazing where low-e coated clear glass might typically be used.

The Solarban® Acuity Opportunity

Dear Vitro Certified™ Network Member,

As you know, last summer we introduced Acuity™ glass to provide architects with an affordable option to upgrade from coated conventional clear glass. With a year of data at our disposal showing strong interest from architects and glaziers alike, it’s clear: Solarban® coated Acuity™ glass presents enormous opportunity for you and your customers—for vision glazing and façades, storefronts or anywhere else low-e-coated clear glass might normally be used.

Vitro’s recent research with 250 architects has unequivocally confirmed their strong design interest and specification intentions. Nearly 75% of the architects we surveyed would be "extremely" or "very likely" to specify Solarban® Acuity™ glass for their vision glazing. They also indicated the likely acceptable installed façade premium that would generate the maximum acceptance with owners and contractors and minimize value-engineering efforts.

And don't forget: there will still be architectural demand for Solarban® -coated Starphire® glass and uncoated heavy Starphire Ultra-Clear® glass where the ultimate in color fidelity and clarity is warranted.

As we position the Solarban® Acuity™ series as the focal point of our 2020 marketing efforts, you can expect to hear more in the months to come. This issue of the newsletter will provide a snapshot of how we can position Solarban® Acuity™ glass for long-term success.

Sincerely,
