Innovating New Products, Tools and Solutions
Dear Vitro Certified™ Network Member,
We’re halfway through the International Year of Glass, and our team at Vitro is as busy as ever developing new products, design tools and technologies to help further the glass industry – and meet the challenges that have been especially pressing lately.
For those of you who joined us at our Vitro Certified™ Network annual meeting last month, we hope you enjoyed hearing from our experts on hot topics like regional code updates and embodied carbon, as well as getting a sneak peek at some of our forthcoming products that are in advanced development.
We also spoke with members in attendance about concerns impacting the entire industry: evolving code standards in southern and western states, supply chain crunches, labor retention and even shipping and trucking challenges. Energy costs, which have significantly escalated in just the past few months, are a perennial concern as well. We sincerely appreciate your good faith and candor as our team works to find creative ways to address and alleviate these challenges.
Many VCN annual meeting attendees were especially interested in the VitroSphere™ Digital Glass Simulator. With just the click of a button, VitroSphere™ Digital Glass Simulator presents renderings of Solarban® glass facades of varying color, reflectance and transparency and connects users to relevant product data, literature and other Vitro design tools. If you haven’t tested it yet, try it here now.
I hope you enjoy the second issue of this year’s newsletter, which takes a closer look at Titan oversized glass production, reviews a case study of UT Austin’s new 15,000+ seat arena and helps you get to know Annissa Flickinger, Vitro’s regional architectural team manager, Eastern North America.
Sincerely,
Mark Seeton
