An Update on Our Newest Horizon
Dear Vitro Certified™ Network Member,
In September, we introduced you to Martin Bracamonte, vice president of marketing and innovation—a new position here at Vitro. In creating this role, we hoped to accelerate the development of new products, processes and big ideas. In just a few months, we have both formally and culturally established pipelines for fresh, new thinking and made incredible strides we expect to positively impact your business in 2021 and beyond.
In the coming months, we’ll be debuting Solarban® R77 glass, which will reveal new design possibilities for your architect customers, with its neutral-reflective, soft silver-blue aesthetic. Utilizing a double-silver MSVD low-e coating, Solarban® R77 glass will showcase reflectivity that is higher than Solarban® 67 glass but lower than that of Solarban® R100 glass. We look forward to sharing more new products and capabilities in the coming months.
While we have energized our focus on innovation, the engine remains Vitro’s many great minds—one of which is Steve Marino, manager of technical services. Steve recently was honored by the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) with a 2020 Article of the Year award for his 2019 Construction Specifier article on diagnosing glass breakage.
Please join us in congratulating Steve on the honor! We spotlight his article below, along with our work at the Chicago Post Office—an historic landmark which has been reimagined and modernized thanks in part to our glass.
Sincerely,
Mark Seeton
